For businesses, becoming a member of the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS) provides many benefits – to both your business and to your customers. If your business belongs to a CCAS code sponsor it will help drive up customer standards within your business sector and improve overall consumer confidence.
Being part of CCAS proves you have a robust customer complaints procedure and clear pre-contractual information – this demonstrates that your business has an effective and higher level of customer service and that your focus is on consumer protection - which will help you to attract and retain customers by enabling you to promote your business as one that consumers can trust which will give you the advantage over your competitors.
Once you belong to a code sponsor you can display the CTSI approved code logo on all your marketing and promotional materials – showcasing your commitment to consumer detriment and providing reassurance to potential customers.
The objective of the scheme is to help guide consumers towards reliable businesses that they can trust – they can look out for the CTSI approved code logo when searching for a trader, and be confident that any approved business they choose has a proven commitment to honest business and higher customer standards and that they will have protection above and beyond normal consumer law rights.
